A data-centric
approach

To participate on Cavex, carbon reduction/removal projects (sellers) must follow strict data protocols, based on established scientific principles and precedents relating to greenhouse gas emissions. Only once protocol requirements are fulfilled, and data are flowing in a verifiable stream (e.g. from IoT devices) to the Cavex platform, will carbon credits be created for the project.

The carbon credits created follow recognised carbon accounting principles (ISO 14064-series) and are fully auditable by independent auditors. This data-centric approach utilising remote sensing and monitoring technology lowers costs and enables smaller projects to sell credits. All records are held and managed in a secure digital ledger that is also available to auditors.
